The Tree

Acrylics.

This was also painted by dropping and splashing the colours on the paper. Only the green below was added with a brush.

I love the outcome! However, I wonder if I should have used different shades of green for the leaves.

    Ooo, I like this a lot! I like that the green is the same and I think it has enough variation in how the depth of the paint made it lighter and darker. It is a fairly busy piece and the trunk/branches/roots are the focus for me, so I like that there is not even more to look at in variation of color in the leaves. Very nice!

    I agree that the green works, gives it a poetic symmetry with the earth. Love the childlike feel to it.
