Skeletal Matters 1

Coal.

This is the first part of sketches drawn from a skeleton as you might already see. It was quite fun to walk around it and draw the different perspectives. Also I like coal, it’s a very enjoyabel medium to draw rough sketches without much detail or to draw very fast. Downside is, that you can drag smudges everywhere where they are not supposed to be and the storage is quite hard without smudging it even more. In fact, even fixating doesn’t even help.^^

  1. These are pretty good. Charcoal does tend to smear a lot though, which is one of the reasons I never really got into it. If you like painting you can take advantage of that by drawing in charcoal on watercolor paper and then smearing it around with a wet brush to get some interesting results. πŸ™‚

    • That’s a pity… however, due to super stressy circumstances at the moment, theres is nothing new here anyway.
